Casino Effect?
My husband and I are making plans to move to NE PA - most likely Wayne County or Lackawanna (Gouldsboro area). I have lots of family there with a long history, but I grew up in NJ. We plan on moving in a year and a half, after our youngest graduates HS. My question is about land value...
Now that slot casinos are making their move into the area, what do you think is going to happen to land values in the next year or two? Will they go up as there could be more jobs in the area, more demand for housing? Or will parts of it go down, as there will be more traffic, congestion? What areas are going to be most affected? I've heard that Mt. Airy got approved, any other casinos? If so, I want to make sure I stay away from any other areas that might become congested and affected by "sprawl". I only plan on moving once, and want to do it right.
