The PA counties included in metro Philly census area are Philadlephia,Bucks,Montgomery,Chester,Delaware.
Berks is not included in Philadlephias metro boundaries although it should be imo. The 422 corridor between King of Prussia and Reading is getting ridiculously developed which is dragging Berks down into the metro region.

I like just about all of PA. The region between Erie and Pittsburgh along the Ohio border is pretty blah though... too much like Ohio, I guess.
North Central and NW are the two most dramatically scenic (mountains and lakeshore, respectively) in my opinion.

My favorite is northwestern pa around Forest and Elk counties. The area is very rural with mountains and forests and small towns. Not many people around, few chain stores and just a very nice place to get away from it all.

I love the PA countryside. I like going to the city, but don't want to live in one ever again. There is so much history in PA, that's what I love about it. I also like hiking and outdoor activities, so the Allegheny and Endless Mtns. are where I spend most of my free time when I'm in PA.

You have PMSA-Primary metro statistical area
You have CMSA-Consolidated metro statistical area.
Berks is not included in either although it should at least be included in the CSMA, as should Mercer County NJ which is inexplicably part of NYC metro.Mercer should be part of the PMSA imo.
