Default New Job in Morgantown, WV-Want to Live in PA

I will be relocating for a new job in Morgantown, but would prefer to live in Pennsylvania. Looking for a small town, close to the border. Looked at a lot of places, but not much information on the Internet. Would prefer a hill or mountain view and sub-division if possible. Not worried about schools etc., except for maybe possible re-sale down the road.

The largest small town in the area is Waynesburg, a few minutes north of the border on 79. The area is rural but there are all of the usual grocery stores, etc in Waynesburg (town pop is ~3000). There are quite a few other tiny villages in the area (Point Marion, Greensboro), I'm not sure how small/large of a town you are looking for.

Thank you. I want neighbors, maybe an acre of land. Library etc. Would even consider building. I heard the country is beautiful. Where I am now I have to drive 8 miles for a gallon of milk and a 45 min. drive to work. Never again!

Point Marion is right across the border, about 10 minutes from Morgantown. It's an old town though (and hate to say, trashy)...not many new houses. Mount Morris is right off I-79, but not many new homes there either, so if you want a new house, and live in PA, then you would probably have to build. There are alot more choices on the WV side, and the taxes are lower. But no matter where you live in the region, it will be beautiful and peaceful.

Can anyone tell me what the taxes are in PA? I know there isn't sales tax on food or clothes. How about cars, trucks? Is there a property tax in addition to sales tax and registration? Right now I pay $300 personal property on a car that is 10 years old--in addition to the registration etc. What is the percentage of state income tax? How about sales tax.
