We still need coal for all the coal plants we have, so let's keep them going.
But what we need to be adding to our energy mix should be 100% renewable.
The coal isn't going anywhere. Let's save some for a rainy day.

I notice in areas like that, people drink the cheapest beer. I like cheap beer also dont get me wrong, but I also know a good beer which some of these people dont.
I can go from Genesee and MHL to Full Sail IPA and others like Sprecker Pub Ale or Lagunitas varieties.

Would you fill me in on any information about wind farms coming to the Johnstown Area.
Do you know if there are currently any in operation in that part of the state?

Yes, there's a couple in operation in the state. One can be seen from the PA Turnpike/Interstate 76 near the Somerset exit. That's not far from Johnstown, if you're not familiar with the area. And the wind farm has actually been there for several years already

Yes... I'm sure within 10 years hipsters, artists and others are going to be flocking to Johnstown. Housing prices will skyrocket due to demand. Hundreds and possibly thousands of new jobs will be created. Johnstown will rank in the top ten of Money magazine's annual "Best Places to Live" rankings.
And I'm equally sure that winged monkeys playing silver trombones will fly out of my butt.

Gennessee.....yuck. Gennesee is an old Indian word for "goat pee." Although its shocking that Genesee is made by JW Dundee, which makes some pretty good beers.
Being a connaisseur of cheap beer in my younger days, I would say that the best cheap beer I ever had was Utica Club. I'd actually prefer UC to Miller, Coors, and Bud.

They had a survey come out a few yrs ago that Johnstown was the most "depressed" city in America. It wasnt talking about the economy, it was refering to the "people" of Johnstown. I know surveys can be misleading. Just pointing it out. I personally dont ever think Johnstown will ever come close to Portland. If u've ever been to Portland, i think u'd agree. That's a HUGE strech thinking Johnstown could ever pull that off. The way of thinking in that part of the country too, is WAY different.

You forgot to mention that Johnstown is primed to become the eastern version of Sedona. New Age trendsetters from all over the world will converge upon Johnstown for New Age festivals, astrology conferences, natural healing retreats, etc. Tour comapnies will spring up, guiding spiritual pilgrims into the vortices and power spots in the surrounding mountains. Sightings of UFOs and alien abduction stories will become common place. This could easily happen within the next 5 years. Johnstown is primed and rarin to go. The energy is calling us now!

Johnstown is also located at a similar elevation as Asheville, NC. Both have desirable natural settings.

No offense to anyone, but thinking Johnstown will ever resemble, even a small version of Porland, you're crazy. Anyone who's even been to Porland probably knows what I mean. The only thing that even keeps Portland under the radar a little bit, no NFL team. I know they got a NBA team. If they did, u'd probably hear about them as much as Seattle. The people are so different out there too. What u consider liberal in Johnstown is alot different than what they would.
