Need some Lansdale,PA Information and other Misc Info (Philadelphia: apartment complexes, rent)

Hello Friends,

I have been issued H-1B visa this year. So soon i will be coming down to USA somewhere near lansdale or philly. Lansdale is a nice place to live and i like this kind a places over busy and fast LA and NY.

I would like to know that how much income tax is imposed on H-1B workers? And does it differ from state to state or it is constant across the country? Any link would helpful.

The other thing i would like know is what would be the total expenditure per month if i live simple life. I don't have any bad habits like drinking/smoking etc. I consider total expenditure = monthly cost of ( house rent + food + traveling to work place). I ain't sure about the location of work place. Still vague amount ?

Lansdale is a quiet community located in Montgomery county. It has plenty of shopping, eateries, and good public transportation. They have train service right in Lansdale that can get you anywhere in the Delaware Valley or simply center city Philadelphia. Septa bus is also available. There are apartment complexes very close to the train. I think the minimum for a nice apartment would be in excess of $1000, but I think you could find more modest apartments if you did some searching. Food is the same throughout the area so that cost doesn't matter. Sorry, I can't answer your tax question.
