Default Live in Quakertown PA - Work in Ewing NJ

Hello, We are looking into the areas of Quakertown and Doylestown PA. My Hubby works in Ewing NJ, and was wondering what the commute is like from these areas? Are we looking at over an hour for a commute? - much traffic?
Thanks so much!

I'm honestly not sure how easy it would be to drive from Quakertown to Ewing each day. No expressway or major highway comes even close to a line between these two places, so you would have to zig-zag on two-lane state highways and smaller roads. I imagine you would take 313 down to 202, then take NJ 29 the rest of the way down, but those are some busy routes that are highly congested. Google Maps suggests taking 413 from 202 and then some minor roads (Pineville Rd and Woodhill Rd) and crossing on I-95, which might be better, but even that is 1 hr 7 min according to the map. Being in Doylestown would cut off about twenty minutes, but it is more expensive to live there.

Forget Quakertown. It's just too long a commute, as there's no direct route or good roads to get you there.

Even Doylestown is a bit of a hike. Heading south on 413 during commuting hours is a bear. It's probably 45 minutes to Newtown in rush hour traffic, then another 15-20 on I-95.

Why did you pick those areas to look at? If his job is in Ewing, look around Newtown, Wash Crossing or Langhorne if you want to be in PA. The Ewing or Lawrenceville areas in NJ wouldn't be bad choices either.

Kim,
There are some ways to get to NJ quickly from Quakertown/Perkasie area. It is NOT using the 313/202 route. Depending on your price range, Newtown/Washington Crossing can be a high market. If you would like more info, please feel free to contact me.
