what to do with teen?
Our son ,16, does not come home from school, gets arrested for retail theft, goes to vision quest and gets home and 5 days later does not come home again, he goes to school so he is not a runaway the copos tell us, and they can't force him to go home. what can we do?

I am not trying to be rude as I realize situations like this are rough.
However, You will get much better help in many other places. City-data.com's forum is for discussion on where good restaurants are at, favorite skylines, people complaining and crying about cities, etc.
You should really go to a socail service. I am sure there are many numbers in the yellow pages. I hope this helps.

your best bet is to talk to him and try to form a better relationship with him. You can try to send him away somewhere again, but that will only work till he gets back home, then he'll go back to his same behaviors. i've worked with many kids in this situation, and the only cases that succeed are those where the parents are involved and form a good relationship with their child
