Default Relocating to work at Brunner Island

My company is moving me to a project outside of York, PA. Its a new powerplant on Brunner Island. I was hoping to get some info on towns close to the Island as well as rental property. Looking for a 2 bedroom apartment or 2 or 3 bedroom house. Hopefully the rent is reasonable.

Also any information on recreation in the area, boating, camping etc. Anyone with information would be very helpful. My reloaction date is the first to middle of march.

Thanks
Shawn

If by boating you mean power boats then the river itself is the choice. The succession of power dams limit you but also enable you. The river has a steep gradient and rocky bottom so there would be very little flatwater boating without the dams. The dams are essentially run of river so what slackwater there is varies in level and in depth over the rocks. Did I mention there are rocks in the water? Plenty of local marinas to make money from you. Here's a couple of links to get you started. Safe Harbor Water Power Corporation General Information

And you can see this across from Brunner Island: Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
