Don't be such a sore loser. I'm beyond angry that Rep. Kanjorski (D-Nanticoke) rode Sen. Obama's coat-tails through a very tight and difficult re-election campaign up here in NEPA, but do I begrudge him? No.

Well, it appears this sample was quite accurate ... as regards the final percentages. I think it's fair to say it was an appropriate sampling of PA and modeled reality.

Of COURSE the media helped elect Obama. Maybe 8 years of a Constitution-shredding secretive government that wasn't too fond of the press made them a little nervous and it only got worse when a delusional radical christianist was next in line to a man willing to sell his soul for the presidency. I know it made me nervous.
Dodged a bullet there, my friends.

I never expected Obama to do so well in Pennsylvania. I thought Obama would win by 2 or 3 percentage points. But 11 points is mindblowing.
Chester County, a Republican county, went for Obama.
Even the rural counties of Elk and Cambria went for Obama.

If you give McCain all the undecideds and "others" from the poll here, it's almost identical to the way it turned out.

Cambria... not so rural, but HEAVILY democratic. I believe it reached 3 to 1 this year. In the past 40 years, only once has a republican carried this county -- GWB in 2004. All the other times, the democratic candidate won in Cambria County.. including the likes of Mondale, Dukakis, and Gore.
