Originally I was Hillary all the way,but then once it was down to these 2 I thought I might go 3rd party but I realize at this point it's not going to make that much of an impact and also I had a feeling we might be backed into this kind of corner with not much of a great choice in either direction, but judging from all the antics going on it looks likely I'm leaning towards Osama

Truly mind boggling. After 8 years in power with all their "experience" the Republicans have created a historical, monumental mess in Iraq and the economy and people will still vote for them. Truly incredible. Let's try lack of experience for a change. How could it be any worse?

And I find it amazing that people will simply vote against a candidate simply because a member of his party sucked as president.

Yes I've been there on the blue collar job in dangerous conditions working 90 hours a week in bitterly cold weather. I know the life.

2. We deserve to make good money,

You only deserve good money if you have the skills appropriate to earn that money.

3. unions stand up for that. Unions are an americans right to organize...strenth in numbers.

Unions I believe at one time served a purpose. Now they are a host of corruption, graft and criminality. They don't have the worker at heart only their own survival and their bureaucracy. If one argues they are necessary then I should not be forced to join one to work at a particular employer. To me that is criminal.

4. Why do you think that the big ceos of companys deserve so much more than your guy busting his a** everyday to put food on the table? Them ceos are not starving...trust me, and them companys are not doing bad.

Guess What? For several years I worked directly for many millionaires and billionaires and contrary to drive by media and union spin, the reality of these people is far different than what you suspect. For many of them they were just like you, except they educated themselves, took risks, saved money and built a business with their bare hands and took a lot of responsibility on themselves. They are also generous to a fault. They've earned their rewards and you could be capable of the same if you want to be.

5. They can just make more profits by moving to a right to work state, or even more by moving out of the country.

It amazes me that you don't get it. If I own a business and you punish me with unions, work stoppages and high taxes and regulations, I'm moving my business to another state or country. What about that, that you do not understand? It's your democrats that drive businesses away with high taxes and excessive regulations and your unions that force repeated work stoppages and excessive wages or benefits that makes companies unprofitable and uncompetitive.

I can't understand why you think I would want to do business with you and your kind if I am punished for doing so? Sorry I am moving my business to where I can deal directly with my employees and am not forced to bend over and grab my ankles by government bureaucrats and high taxes.

6. Here we go again...the rich get richer, and everyone else gets poorer.

I travel the world. I've been to almost every state. The average "poor" person in the USA is better off than 90% of the worlds population. People here do not realize how good they have it, nor how good of a life they could make for themselves if they applied themselves.

7. he has stated many times about giving automakers tax cuts and providing them with the money to make good products in america.

Well you just proved my point and I doubt you even know it. Why not provide tax cuts to all American industry to encourage them to stay here and produce competitive products? ? ?

8. Obama, and his wife also turned down high paying jobs to go to parts of chicago that were devestated by mills shutting down, and he helped them people.

The only thing I can find that Obama did in Chicago was talk or write. I have yet to find anything of substance that directly and positively affected anyone. If so where are all the successful people he helped? No one can find them. It's a hollywood production.

As for disabled people like my mother.... Bush has made it so hard for her to get any help. Trying to cut medicade, she doesent get much money to begin with and shouldnt have to pay out the a** for medicade. Republicans are all for cutting medicade and medicare. My grandmas prescriptions have gone up so much in the last 8 years, if she doesent take them prescriptions she will die. Im using them as an example, but this goes for many many people across america.

Uh as I recall Bush was responsible for this:

Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

One, I think that is another boondoggle and waste of taxpayers money. Two, while I think prescription drugs have a place I believe more in holistic and homeopathic and preventative medicine. This drug habit Americans have I think is bad news.

Privitizing SS is a joke...one of the dumbest ideas i have ever heard. There are many people now who dont live much longer than 65...and you should be able to retire young enough to enjoy yourself.

I think you misunderstood. SS was not going to be "privatized" only that younger people could take a PART of their payroll taxes and invest that money how they want. They do it in Australia and it works fine. Down there you can pick from about 6000 options to invest in. It's my earned money, I'd like a say in how it's invested.

Every american should have healthcare, nobodys life is worth more than anyone elses.

Every American has some kind of access to healthcare, even the uninsured can get care at county hospitals and through government programs.

I have it now, and i only pay 50 a month for it, and have a very low deductable. I would like to see everyone be able to get the medical care that they need. I remember what it was like not having it, and the medical bills i pay every month reminds me of it. When i lived in that right to work republican state i couldnt get it, and yes i worked. I couldnt afford 300 dollars a month for healthcare.

Again I don't think you understand that the remander of your health care insurance bill comes out of another pocket via lower wages or taxes. There is no free ride. Employers often subsized health care because it's in their interest to have healthy, happy employees. If we go to socialized medicine drawing on my experience in other countries that have it, you pay for it with high taxes and healthcare is rationed. It's not the paradise people think it is. It's not FREE or CHEAP.
I've put in bold my responses.

As a resident of Montgomery County, I voted for Hillary in the April primary.

I am voting for Obama on Nov. 4. McCain's charge that Obama will raise your taxes is simply not true. Obama said that he will lower taxes for everyone earning less than $250,000 a year. Obama will only raise taxes on those above $250,000.

McCain's proposed tax cuts will give the greatest tax savings to the top 1% of income earners. Those in the middle class will get very little tax relief from his plan.

Our national deficit is already in shambles. McCain's desire to prolong the Bush tax cuts for the top 1% will further increase our national deficit. Not to mention our presence in Iraq, which is costing $48 billion a year; and the bailout of Wall Street. Do we want our grandchildren and future generations to pay this debt just so we can enjoy a few dollars more in tax cuts? (assuming you are a middle class earner).

I would rather forfeit a few dollars more in tax cuts to avoid passing to my grandchildren the eventual tax burden of paying down our national debt.

I won't vote in this poll even though my wife is from Pittsburgh and her entire huge Italian family, from the youngest at 18 to the oldest, will be voting for Obama. Nearly all of them didn't vote in '04.

There are an incredible number of fine people in this state and I expect them to get out the vote to oppose a continuation of the Bush/Republican lunacy. Hard to imagine that 4 years ago, Republicans were telling us to vote for the village idiot because he "needed 4 more years to finish what we started." What absolute lies and deception. They are again attempting to do the same thing with McCain, a pathetic man who has no business running for this office.

Obama leading for a reason. He's by far the superior candidate in every respect and I expect Pennsylvania (like the entire Northeast did in '04) to vote for Obama. PA a far different, more enlightened state than Ohio.

It's either great brainwashing or maybe we're actually living in some sort of alternate universe, because my neighbor is a die hard republican that has got a response for anything that's thrown his way...or maybe that's just republicans
