Are you looking for like water, electric and sewage hookups? I can get you a couple of recommendations based on what hookups you need.

3 fingers is correct.. why would you do that to a child ?..lewistown has alot of growing up to do before it can say its a good place for anyone to live..its so backwards it has its own accent? come on the drugs the crime, no jobs and its 49 percent old people...not a place to raise a family...
I want lewistown to be a nice place too.. but its not and proley never will be.. all the smart people left years ago..look at who runs the place ? they are still trying to revamp the downtown lol.. hopless ..the downtown ? who cares about a down town most places bulldozed theres and moved on..there concern is old movie theaters and downtown areas that all died with the economy in the early 80s.. its over lewistown needs to find a new base..make it a gay town or somthing modern.. the past is gone.. let it go..

Your broken English is making it hard for me to understand exactly what you're trying to convey here babrwire, but Lewistown indeed does have a drug problem and as far as the site I'm not sure what you're referring to as far as updates? What's not being updated?

Lewistown... yuck!
My husband and I are both in Emergency Medical Services. He worked in Lewistown as an EMT for many years. I can't even tell you how many drug overdoses there are in a week in Lewistown... too many to count sometimes. I would NEVER move my family there. His grandparents were going to give us a house in downtown Lewistown and we quickly refused. It's a horrible place to raise your children anymore. You drive through at night and it's like you turned on a bad horror flick or something. The ouskirts of Lewistown may be OK, but there are other places close by... like where we live in Belleville... that make great family places. I am not saying you don't have to lock your doors, even though a lot around here dont, but everyone pretty much knows everyone. For example, when we moved here, 3 different churches sent us welcome baskets. They do care around here!

If you don't believe me, find an EMT or a Lewistown Hospital ER Nurse and ask them how many overdoses they see on average per week. You'll be shocked, that I can assure you.

Right you are, I have several friends in the Emergency Services field as well as in the Lewistown Hospital and I hear the same horror stories. My question is why does the MCRPD not report all of these to the media? Years ago when heroin first started hitting the Mifflin County area you read about every overdose in the paper. Now, you never hear of them yet people tell me there are still just as many overdoses as there was all those years ago when it started.
I guess they figure out of sight, out of mind...

Lewistown . Are you Sure?
[ I have lived in Lewistown area all my life. I love it and hate it all at the same time. I have raised 4 children here, the schools are prett good, especially in the Highland area for grade schools and we have some awesome christian day cares, which are state certified. That is where it ends.We have an extremely high heroin problem in this area. there is no help for this problem. few arrests are made, the DA isn't or doesn't seem interested, the police seem to turn a blind eye and jobs are few and far between and wages are very low!! We had several good indrustries leave and our old County Commissioners left them go.Thank goodness we have good ones now. I hate to see you move to such a depressed area and we seem to have cornored the market on child molesters and abuse. The police don't follow their own guidelines when it comes to "them" making theirselves known/some live near schools. The All American City i grew up in is gone. You make your own decision and watch your child carefully. good luck

At least YOU saw a SWAt team!! I live here and i think they turn a blind eye a lot of the time. I also "heard" through the grapevine some of the drug task force may be involved themselves. One former 'user'told me they bought from an ex task officer who now owns a business????Lewistown does suck. I was trying to be nice. Can you believe oue idiot DA is going to be running for Judge????? Come on people he sucks at this job. We need fresh meat like we got with the County Commissioners. They don't take much crap from the judges.Did everyone know Tim Searer wanted a huge raise the way the job rate here is and Sunderland and Reck voted NO WAY! Yeah! Who's taxes would have paid for that? ours!!I can barely get my property taxes paid. What if we all had a town meeting and finally stuck together? The old"i'm mad as hell and i'm NOT going to take ot anymore!"
