Default Need to have access to Long Island

We were planning to move out west from Long Island, NY when my wife retires in a year but she was just diagnosed with terminal cancer so in order to be covered by her health insurance we have to be as close as possible to the Long Island area.

What town or area would be the most suitable for us. We want to live near a good hospital and where there is a good selection of doctors. We would want to rent a house that permits pets (2 dogs, 4 cats).

Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to be in PA but close to Long Island, your best bet is southeastern Bucks County: Newtown, Langhorn, Yardley, New Hope, Morrisville. It's a fairly expensive area but since you're from Long Island it might even be a little less than what you're used to. St. Mary's Hospital in Langhorn is well regarded from what I've heard.

bobsmith,

Thanks so much for the information. We will be renting not buying so home prices aren't important.
