Default Difficulty moving in (Chambersburg and area)

I'll be moving to the Chambersburg/Waynesboro area on the 25th of October, and am planning to go down this weekend to secure an apartment. I'm looking for something small and affordable, which I can get a short-term rental on (likely around 2 months), although it may get extended. Ideally I'd like it to allow pets, but that's not a deal-breaker.

I'm having significant difficulty finding an apartment in the area though. I have a Canadian area code, and often have my calls hung up on immediately, rather than folks even talking to me. I'm assuming there is an issue with telemarketers calling the area, but it certainly makes things a little frustrating.

The few that I've been able to get a hold of aren't really interested in short term rentals at all.

Does anyone happen to know of any places I can contact? I did a search here and found Meadowbrook Lanes recomended, however the lady there is one of the folks who repeatedly hung up on me.
