Why is John McCain wasting his time in Pennsylvania, it has been a blue state for years and with the economy the way it is WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD IT TURN TO THE GOP! It just seems like wishful thinking for John McCain.

Why is the world would he choose Sarah Palin as his VP choice? Maybe he is getting senile in his old age. I used to like McCain but after this campaign I lost all respect for him.

He doesn't have a chance of winning PA.

PA is wall to wall red but Democrats win the population centers. This pattern is true in most other states, even New York. This is what happened in 04. Let's come back to this in a week or so.

Without a conservative on the ticket, McCain was doomed. Palin is going to get a lot of people turned out on election day to vote for her ticket.

Personally I think she is fine. People can discuss schematics if they want but for me, Palin is as qualified as the half term senator on the democratic presidential ticket.

The whole key is turnout. If the republicans in this state can mobilize and get everyone to take a few minutes to go and vote we can win. I think many in this state are uncomfortable with the takeover of the guvment by socialists. Now democrats in congress are talking about seizing peoples 401k's in their entirety and it's things of that nature the moderates are going to say too much.

I too don't put to much stake in the "undecided" voter. I actually know a few undecided voters. In fact, I live with one! She doesn't care enough to vote. So if a pollster calls her she would show up in the undecided column. As you said elections are won and lost based on turn out. The new Democrat registration in PA is mind boggling. Where did they come from and If they all vote, Obama should be up 50 points! Interesting social/cultural phenomenon I have noticed. There are far more Obama signs on the Main Line here; home of "old money". Then you drive through middle and lower middle class neighborhoods and you see McCain signs; a role reversal for the "party of the rich". As for McCain, he was Democrat's favorite Republican as long as he was bashing other Republicans. Matthews had him on practically every other night. Not any more. And all those who say they would have voted for McCain if he had or had not done this or that, don't believe it. When chips are down they would not vote for any Republican.

Well I think it's going to be an interesting election day and night for sure.

Up where I live McCain signs are everywhere dwarfing the odd Barry sign.

I don't know where this thing about the Republicans being the "party of the rich" when the democratic party is owned and dominated by "old money" NYC, Philly, Chicago and SanFran types.

I notice Barry has vanished down to Hawaii and there is a growing storm over whether Barry O was actually born in the USA including one serious lawsuit being filed here and heard in PA.

Why can't McCain win PA?

There are a couple (2) Obama lawn signs on my street, but they have been there since midway thru the primary season. But McCain signs are much more plentiful. As are the biggest huge-@55ed SUVs and pick-ups parked in like every other driveway...all new in the last 24 months or so (when gasoline prices were high). I mean, I feel like Goldilocks looking for Baby Bear's chair when I walk by these vehicles! By the way, this is a townhouse subdivision in suburban East Shore Harrisburg, with single car garages too small for these vehicles -- when we moved in it was like 90% cars in the neighborhood, instead of maybe 50% today. A lot of folks are doing really well due to military spending for the war. Who could better assure 8 more years of steady prosperity for them than McCain?

Interesting...so if he wins the election, and then it's discovered he really was born in Kenya, what happens? Impeachment? Jail for lying?
