Some trivia from WikiAnswers....
A group of turkeys is called a rafter, although a gang is also an acceptable name. They have also alternately been called a gobble, although this definition is colloquial and generally doesn't appear in dictionaries.
And please be careful when driving near a gang of turkeys. They are silly birds and will fly up and at a car. We get a few turkey vs windshield hits where I work every year. People are surprised when they fly, they think there's no way they can!

Yep, I just knew that herd was the wrong term........too darn lazy to look it up.
A gang should be easy to remember .........Yep, I see a huge gang every morning up on the hill of a farm. A rafter, hummmm I never heard of it, but that is an interesting term.

I didn't do much traveling for Thanksgiving (went 10 miles) and won't travel at all for Christmas as I host that at home. Next year the story might be different though. I'm hoping to get everyone to travel out to see me. With so many pets, I can't be gone a whole day anyway.

I agree with you Ohiogirl81. My drive from Gettysburg to Albion,Pa (Erie) on Thurs took a little over 5hrs, good weather all the way.
My ride back took 7.5 hrs rained/sleeted/foggy all the way. I-80 a mess, topspeed for about 15 mile strech was 25mph and never saw anything blocking the lanes, just a couple cars and a truck in the center grass.
Traffic moved better on I-90 around Erie during the snow squalls Fri nite then it did Sun on I-80
