Custom Draper is on a distinguished road
Default Can Someone Tell Me About Glenmoore??

My family is relocating to Chester County and I've been reading so much about the Downingtown-Chester Springs area as the "up and coming place to be". There is a nearby town called Glenmoore which is only a few miles west of Chester Springs and seems to offer a little more home for less, and still utilizes the good Downingtown East School system (same as Chester Springs).

Can someone tell me if this is off the beaten track, or whether it's worth a look? I'd like to be a fairly upscale area and not too far from amenities. I also don't want to put us too far out from civilization.

Thank you in advance for any information you can share.

Chester Springs is booming with new housing developments most are $500,000 on up, that along with older huge sprawling historic farms and farmhouses makes Chester Springs a very expensive area. Definitely the further west and north you go , your money will go alot further. Glenmoore sounds like it might be a smart move. That area around Marsh Creek Lake is awesome. You'd be within a 1/2 hour of Exton and Downingtown where there are tons of great shopping and restaurants. Its definitely worth looking into. Glenmoore itself , I've never been there and I would suspect the town itself is probably only a couple blocks surrounded by some newer and older housing developments nestled in the woods.

Even the outskirts of Downingtown has alot of brand new developments that start around $300 K as opposed to Chester Springs starting upper $400's.

Chester Springs eastward towards Malvern + Valley Forge big bucks.

Good luck.

local.live.com will give you a pretty good satellite image of the topography and density etc..
