Ok i posted a thread about universities i liked. now i want to know about the branch campuses of like Penn State - preferably Dubois, Altoona, or Erie. and the campuses of U of Pitt - mainly Bradford.
-*- does a degree from one one the branch campuses have the same recognition as one from the main campus. say like i went to get a job and i went to Pitt Bradford would they be impressed because its part of Pitt? same with PS Dubois?
-*- does anyone know if Pitt main has teaching secondary i couldnt find it on site in majors.

Can't speak for the other Universities, but I know a degree from Penn State-Erie is the same as a degree from University Park. The plastics engineering program in particular is nationally recognized.

A degree from any campus of Penn State is the same as at University Park. Your diploma will read "Pennsylvania State University" and will not specify if you went to University Park, Erie, Scranton, Hazleton, Harrisburg, etc.

It is the same with Pitt as well. I have friends who went and still go and the ones who have finished have degrees that read University of Pittsburgh.

The degrees have the same value at branch campuses as the main campus. The general problem is that the branch campuses have a limited number of degrees that they offer compared to main campus.

Yeah, I attend PSU-main, but I took summer classes at PSU-Schuylkill, and honestly, the classes didn't seem any "easier" than the classes I took at the main campus. I think the branch campuses generally have an undeserved reputation of being for "those who can't cut it at the main campus," which isn't true, in my opinion.
AND, as of a few years ago, the plastics program at Erie was offered only at Erie, and not at main campus at all.
To answer the original question, a Penn State degree says "Pennsylvania State University" and doesn't indicate a specific campus on it. Also, I have friends who spent two years at PSU-Altoona and loved it. I visited a few times and it seems like a nice campus.
