Kids on here ruin this site with their immature "haha"s and ridiculous arguing.

I stated clearly in my original post and in subsequent posts thereafter that overall, Erie is a relatively safe city. It has a lower crime rate than the national average overall for violent crime per 100,000 people; lower for murder, higher for rape, around average for aggravated assaults. Generally, Erie does not have a terrible crime problem at all. However, there are definitely neighborhoods that can easily be considered ghettoes. As a former probation officer in Erie, New Orleans, Queens NYC, and Pittsburgh, I know a ghetto when I see it. Are Erie's "ghetto" areas as large as those in other cities? Absolutely not. But do Erie's "ghetto" areas have the exact same problems as those in other cities? Absolutely yes, just on a smaller scale.

There's no area like that in Erie that I've ever come into contact with.
Exactly.

I already mentioned a number of areas in previous posts. That's why I didn't quote that part.

Try reading. You can get your own street address. Go take a walk after midnight (as you said) north of Buffalo Rd. west of McClelland. Take a nice long walk and see how much fun you have.

Stick to the suburbs of Pittsburgh and Edinboro, kid. You'll be better off.
