Is it dangerous around the Sovereign Center in Reading (Penn: parking, park)

I want to go there for a show, but I heard some areas in Reading are not so safe?

There are definately worse places in reading, but it's not a place in which I'd go at night alone

I'd say it is safe, especially during a show or game where there are plenty of police and there's good parking nearby. You're on Penn Street. I wouldn't wander away too far at night.

It is partly on 7th street...look at 7th street and you will understand why I say that.

If it is for a show than you shouldnt be bad because the city likes to show off for outsiders and put all its cops around the sovereign center but. Make sure you park close.

If you're going for a show, you should be fine.
I've gone there for shows several times (I'm a young, petite female) and usual ended up parking a few blocks away and walking. Everything was okay. Generally, there's a fair amount of people out and about before and after the shows.
