Default Internet options for Lancaster

Does anyone know if there are any High Speed Internet alternatives to Comcast for the 17601 zip in Lancaster?

I checked availability w/ verizon, at&t, earthlink...and nothing. Does comcast have a monopoly over this area?

You may be able to get Embarq. That was an option here in Chambersburg but they didn't advertise it well, so we ended up with Comcast. Check it out....High Speed Internet - Local Phone Services | Embarq.

we have Blue Ridge high speed internet thru the cable company. I also know a few people who deal with D&E highspeed internet (thats what I have here at work) or Verizon phone companies. They both have high speed options.

Thank you guys for the quick responses. I looked into those alternatives as well. Unfortunately, Embarq is not available in my area :-(

Blue Ridge and D&E are available up until about 5 miles north of me.

I guess Comcast just has a stronghold in my area. Anyone else in Lancaster able to get something else for high speed internet?
