Default Utility Bills southern central PA

We are relocating to Chambersburg PA. We have found a new construction home in Greencastle that we are intent on buyer. We have 3 back up homes in Greencastle as well.

The new home is electric heat pump/Air Conditioning with propane for heat, stove and fireplace (if you call a fireplace a utility). Water is well supply.

I have been told I can expect about $140 a month for electricity, but never got a straight answer on propane costs. I have also heard that electricity rates in PA will go up next year.

Can anyone provide any info or feed back on what I can expect to pay?

Thanks,
Vincent

Ask propane suppliers what you should expect to pay.

It's difficult to get accurate estimates with new construction. From past experiences utility companies tend to err on the low side - your actual bills are higher.

In Pittsburgh the rates for electric are going up in the spring I believe. The company I have in the suburbs isn't planning on an increase.
