Biggest storm in fifteen years on the way?
From all accounts, and I know it's still early, we are in for it. To those who remember the winter of '93, you know what I'm talking about. Hang on!

Are you referring to the possible storm on Monday and Tuesday? I heard earlier today on WGAL that we may just get rain changing over to sleet then to snow with little accumilation. I'm sure this will change several times over the next few days.

We here on the western half of the state are supposed to get the worst of it, if the model is correct.

I'll have to watch a Philly station to see what they're saying for Monday and Tuesday. They usually encourage viewers to stock up on basics if flurries are in the forecast Maybe the Groundhog will have provide some insight for us.
I understand predicting weather can be difficult. However, why do they to create forecasts for 5-7 days ahead? After January 19's forecast of a DUSTING I can't believe any of them anymore.
Since we're on the topic who does everyone have faith in as far as TV weather predictions are concerned? I have found that WGAL is as close as accurate as there is.

I find it stupid the way people put down meteorologists (thats weather people). Weather is a constantly changing thing. Even with radar and all of the sophisticated equipment the weather can change in an INSTANT and make a forecast totally wrong. I watch the weather and for the most part, its usually close. I'd like to see YOU tell me days in advance if its going to snow or rain or whatever. You cant. So stop putting down the weather people. (no, I am not a meteorologist, nor to I work for accuweather or any other weather service. I just have a BRAIN and know that its not, and never will be, an exact science).

I did hear that last night from a Philly station. The same person also mentioned Central PA could get hammered as well but their definition of Central PA usually is off by hundreds of miles

At least Joe Snedeker was honest when he said he really doesn't know which way the storm will go and what we'll get out of it; that it's too early to tell now. So many others would have us screaming, panicking and buying every loaf of bread off of the shelves already (and why bread and milk? Someone help me with that one! )
Whatever it ends up being, we'll all get through it - we always do - we're from NEPA!!!

Oh boy...all the old ladies will be rushing to the store to clear the shelves of bread, milk, and eggs....is that just a NE PA thing, or is that everywhere? Apparently people think that a few inches of snow means you'll be snowed in for a week and you have to eat french toast.
