Default Asian children in Somerset County

My husband and I are white with four adopted asian children. He has just accepted a job in the area and we are considering settling in the Somerset area. Our children are 15,11,6 and 5. We are moving in from rural Michigan and desire to remain in a rural area, which is why we are considering Somerset County. We are very concerned with our children fitting in well and not being ostrasized because of their race! Would love to hear of others opinions or experiences with this! We are considering Somerset County PA or perhaps Mineral County WV?? Any opinions on which would be a better option for us? Thanks!!!

I grew up in Somerset County. Back when I was a teenager, there was ONE AA male in Somerset High School and a few Asians. That was in the 70's. It has become more diverse since then, thankfully. It is VERY rural. I don't think your children would have a difficult time fitting in. I highly doubt that your children would be ostrasized in Somerset County.
