Wow! Guess I haven't been up there in a while, hadn't heard of it. Great example of some local creativity making lemons out of lemonade. Found this link about it: Matthew Visyak's Public Art Page - Read Between the Signs Project

I didn't read that link, but I believe most of that was put together by old damaged PENNDOT road signs.

Ouch, I was mixing up as well as mixing metaphors. The art project makes lemonade from a lemon - which I think is actually the reverse of what PENNDOT usually does.

I believe these are old signs - a great way to reuse them. I don't know how often the work is changed out, but I'm in that area about 3-4 times per year and there's a different scene each time I visit. Most of the fence in front of the DOT is decorated.
