Yes, Union County (including Mifflinburg) has a large Little League program. There is also AYSO soccer and all types of sports through the schools.

Mifflinburg also has a very nice town park, with a swimming pool and playground.

Question Mifflinburg air quality?

Love the descriptions of Mifflinburg and surrounding areas in Union and Snyder counties. We've been researching small Pennsylvania towns for retirement purposes and unfortunately keep hitting a wall when it comes to air pollution. American Lung Association and EPA reports indicate Pennsylvania has a serious problem with air quality (ozone and short and long-term particulates). Mifflinburg sits in the middle of a triangle formed by State College, Harrisburg, and W-B/Scranton which all have poor air quality readings. Can anyone help us out with your personal observations about year-round air quality in the Mifflinburg area? Thanks. GWG1949 in Virginia.

Wow, that's surprising. I think the air quality in this area is excellent. Of course, it's usually the "no-see-ums" that'll get you. We don't have smog. The worst problem I've noticed with air quality is when a farmer fertilizes his field with pig manure. Ugh!!

My dad lives in Mifflinburg. It's a nice town. From the many times I've been there the only air quality problems if you call them problems is the sweet smell of country air.

This might be a little late but to find out information on air quality, health, climate, cost of living, etc., go and check the website Sperlings Best Places. It gives all the updated information that you will need.
