Exclamation ***reading, pa school question***

Hi, What school district accommodates Reading? And when I say Reading, I mean the inner-city, high crime area. What school do these kids attend?

I tried to ask this before but received no response. Do they go to Gov. Mifflin SD? I need to know, as I am relocating to the Shillington area and have heard that Gov. Mifflin SD is infultrated with inner city kids. PLEASE HELP.

THANK YOU!

Students in the city of Reading go to schools in the Reading SD and Reading High School. Reading SD is the only district in Berks County that is by New York standards urban. Reading has a minority student majority ie African-American and Latino. Governor Miffin draws its students fron towns and townships on the southern and SW side of the Reading metro area. Towns include Shillington and Mohnton as well as Cumru township.
Governor Mifflin (GM) is a typical suburban district with a white majority. It is similar to SDs like Wilson (West side), Exeter (east side) or Muhlenburg (north side). GM is a relatively large SD with good sports and extracuricular activities like a band. GM like all the other Berks suburban schools has a growing number Black and Latino students. Because the American dream is a nice house in the suburbs and Blacks and Latinos want to get out of Reading too!
