Hi, I live in se Michigan and got a job in Allentown, PA. I found a house to rent in Newmanstown, PA and would like to know about the area and schools. I was told the school district is East Lebenon and the area is pretty rural. I know that Allentown is about an hour away, but I'll be working at home mostly. Does anyone know a good day care center also for a 7 year old? Thanks

ELCO (Eastern Lebanon County) is a rural district with lots of high-tech stuff because they have a knack for getting money out of the Federal Government. If you're looking for an intellectual environment for your kid, ELCO ain't it, but the district doesn't really have many discipline problems to my knowledge.

Don't know much about Newmanstown, just drove through it a few times - it looks pretty run-down.
