Default Commuting to Uniontown PA--where to live?
Just got a job in Uniontown, PA, and am wondering where are the best towns near there, within reasonable driving/commuting distance? Looking for live somewhere that's liberal-minded, with a good arts/restaurant scene.

A Democrat in Fayette County is leftover from the New Deal, not a bi-coastal type social liberal. You will find many fine people with honest grit and determination. You will find scenic beauty in many of the surrounding areas. You will find plenty of arts and restaurants - in Pittsburgh.

I suspect the nearest place with some of what you're looking for is Morgantown, WV - home of West Virginia University - check out the WV forum.
