Default Can I Get Divorced in PA

It's so easy to get married, but yet so hard to get divorced...
So hears my situation...

I am in the military and I claim PA as my residence. I was just reassigned to Virginia 2 months ago. I do not like the divorce laws of VA. If there are children involved, you have to be separated a year and then even before that, you have to be a resident for 6 months!!! I don't think PA is as harsh as that... So does anyone know if a military member that claims PA as their residence but does not actually reside there can be divorced there?

Your help is so appreciated.

You cannot file for divorce in Pennsylvania unless you or your spouse have been a resident for the entire six months preceding the filing for divorce. If you or your spouse happen to still maintain a residence in PA, that may be sufficient to qualify for residency even though you don't technically "live" there at the moment. Otherwise, you're kind of SOL.
