Default Apartments in or near California, PA

Hey all. I'm a TX resident currently going to junior college in New Mexico, but I plan to move to PA this December and finish my four year degree at the California University of PA.

My question is, what kind of living can I find in or near the California area? The closer to campus the better, though I do not wish to live on campus or in the campus owned apartments. I'd also prefer to live by myself. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

There is a Jefferson Commons apt complex in California that serves the vast majority of students that live off campus, but not with their parents. Cal U is a huge commuter school, so there aren't a ton of apts. You can find some run-down houses close to campus though, but, your options for off-campus housing are going to be very limited.
