Default Lancaster/York Counties

We are considering these counties to relocate to. Can anyone tell me about theses towns in Lancaster; Millersville, Quarryville, Holtwood, New Providence, Kirkwood, & Peqeua? I'm interested in #1, schools , housing(prices), rental prices for single family homes, stores & any general info. In York County; Woodbine, Delta, Shrewsberry, New Freedom, & Glen Rock. I would also like the same info as with Lancaster County. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Some information on york county:

York County: A Great Place to Call Home

Also, for house prices search for the 2008 annual report from the RAYAC (Realtors Association of York and Adams counties)

Sorry, can't help much with Lancaster county, though I'm sure there are similar resources.

York county house prices are still high in my opinion. There are a lot of places for sale (and growing every day), but the sellers haven't yet reduced the prices. There is one overpriced house on Main St. in New Freedom. It has been for sale for months with an open house almost every weekend. But the seller isn't budging on the price. Eventually the dam will break and property values will collapse.

I can only speak for Glen Rock as that's where I call home... I recently posted my opinion of the area under another thread entitled simply "Glen Rock" which may be of some help but I can tell you that the home values here are actually rising while they are not fairing nearly as well elsewghere... houses do not stay on the market long partly because Glen Rock is so close to the MD/PA state line and people are migrating here from Baltimore and very pricy MD suburbs...
