looking for great place in se pa to buy
we are considering a move if my husband decides to relocate to aberdeen, md. we are thinking about southeast pa, lancaster, chester, york counties. we would like a 45 min tops commute. we currently live in nj, and are looking for good areas to live, with good schools, rural but not too rural-right now its about 25 mins to the nearest mall, and i can handle that, 20 mins to target, etc. we want good prices, decent taxes, etc. i have 3 children, 7, 5, and 3. we want the beautiful country living with nearby ammenities, etc. at least half an acre of property. i really am having a hard time researching bc as soon as i think i may have found a decent area, some bad information pops up. i thought oxford, pa sounded good, but then i heard bad stuff about it. so im really confused right now. we plan on some weekend trips, but i need a starting point. it seems that all the good places to live are in more northern part of lancaster county. help!!

I think it would possibly be easier if you would state your price range.

Better yet - the monthly housing expense - because property taxes, sales tax or not and the mortgage payment, daily commute (tolls) make the economic decisions.....half acre lot, with 2500-3000 sf home can be available anywhere within 45 minutes drive from BRAC-APG

I'd also suggest posting an identical enquiry on the PA forum. I'm not sure which of the PA subforums might also be appropriate -- maybe the Philadelphia subforum, but I'm unsure how much attention it gets/gives regarding the SE PA counties.

Oops -- I see now that the thread has been moved to PA, even though it continues to exist on the DE forum.

Ahh, it's that parallel universe thing! Actually, I moved it here but you'll see it in the DE forum for a day as a redirect.
