Elizabethtown is nice, but it might be too "townie" for the OP. But they are definitely going to want to live somewhere within walking distance to the Amtrak corridor which includes Harrisburg, Middletown, Elizabethtown, Mount Joy or Lancaster. I would think Harrisburg and Lancaster rank at the top, third possibly being E-Town.

The only thing I know about the area is that Lancaster County is notorious for it's many Amish puppy mills.
