Default Dangerous area in Harrisburg?

My fiance and I will soon be moving to one of the 100, 200 or 300 block areas of Forster St. in Harrisburg. Because of parking issues, we will probably end up buying a permit from the city, but parking is at least a block from our house. We would end up parking on Boas St., Green St., Penn St. or Herr St. and walking out to Forster. How is this area? It seems busy enough and close enough to the capital that it won't be that much of a dangerous area, but I just wanted to know from people who live around this area. Would it be worth it to spend the extra money and buy a more expensive parking spot from a private area? Or are there any other alternatives? Or is this area safe enough to not worry about it? Sorry for the questions, we are just trying to figure out the best course of action before moving. Thanks for your help

I love the homes on Forster street and it's extremely convenient to just about everything. Forster street is a major thoroughfare, however, and it's kinda noisy just about all day long. But that also means its pretty safe as well, plenty of people and cars out and about.

Thanks for the reply back. That is what it seemed based on a few people's messages. I just wanted little bit of reassurance, although I have put a deposit on the apartment already so I guess I should just deal with it, right? HAHA. For real, thank you though.
