My daughter was asked to the prom for Dover High School and I would like to research the location and other specifics.

I can't help ya on that one. I'll try to get some info for you, but it may take a couple of days.

The District is quite rural, so I will bet the Prom will be held somewhere in York.

That was easier than I figured it would be! I thought I'd have to make a phone call.

Here ya go:

When: May 26, 2007 Not sure about the time.

Where: Valencia Ballroom (N. George St., York)

Menu: Steak & Seafood

Entertainment: DJ

Theme: "Hollywood Nights"

Hope that helps. I found it at http://www.ydr.com/livingfull/ci_5658414

Are you from the area?

Daughters and Proms....been there....done that.

I can tell you that Dover is a fairly rural district in the mid northwest area of York County.

The Valencia Ballroom was restored several years ago. It's a lovely old building in York's downtown area. My parents used to go there in the late 30s and 40s when the Big Bands hit town. It was restored in an artdeco style.

Pictures of it here:http://www.altlandhouse.com/Valencia_HomePage.htm (broken link)
