Question Moving to Pennsylvania Need Advice on Where to Live

My husband and I are moving we have looked at homes in Pen Mar, Waynesboro, and Green Castle. We liked some places in each of these places. I would like some information on these places please. If its a good place to raise a family? We have a one yr. old already. Hows the communities? How are the Daycares and Schools? Crime rate? About things we could do for entertainment as a family as well as just adults? If its a pretty area? I need to know which one of these areas is better for what I'm looking for. Or if neither then advice on good places to live in Pennsylvania preferrably with only an hour at the most from Ft. Detrick, MD. Thats all I got now. Again any information will be greatly appreciated.

Both Waynesboro and Greencastle are being overrun with sprawl development. Washington Twp around Waynesboro is probably addressing development issues a little better, much to the chagrin of the developers I used to represent. Waynesboro is also closer to the green hills of the Michaux State Forest which is a miles-wide swath around the Appalachian Trail. Greencastle is out in the middle of the valley closer to the highway. I don't really know the schools well, there had been a couple of posters in that area so maybe the bump will encourage them to take a look.

The family & I moved to Chambersburg (Greene Twp.) and absolutely love it! Great new neighborhood, great schools, and lots of things to do as a family. Not sure about things to do as adults, but with a 6 & 4 year old, we don't get out alone much.
