blauskies - Your Pennslytucky plate is lame. The central region of PA is beautiful and there's many great places to live and visit in this region of the state. For example, State College, PA and the surrounding area, Carlise, Harrisburg, The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, Potter County, Centre County...just to name a few. Philly is a dump, IMO. However, there are some nice places to live within the Eastern region. Centre County PA has one of the highest average income brackets in the state, along with housing values, highly educated, R&D jobs, government contractors, defense, sports, Penn State, culture, and a high quality of life. You don't find high quality anything in Philly, other than UPenn.

Those are called digital plates which use a really thin gauge (next to cardboard). No embossed anything. It's not stamped. it's all done by computer. More and more states are converting to digital plates.

Did not know that. Interesting tidbit of information, filmsniffer! I learned something new today.

The 2008 world series champs and cheesesteaks....that's about all I can think of. I agree, you couldn't pay me enough to live in Philly...but it does have some nice suburbs. But State College? I would not want to live right in State College either....PSU was just rated the #1 party school for a reason.

PA has ugly plates, but I think Delaware takes the cake for most boring plate:

Like these old black DE tags?

I can't believe anyone would get into a bidding war for a license plate, nevermind ones that are plain and boring. Those black ones are small...almost like a motorcycle tag.

^^Yeah, but they're quite a novelty when you compare them with the trend toward pictures of bridges, fruit, bucking broncos, and the like.

My favorite plate goes to New Hampshire, featuring its "live free or die" motto. You can't argue with that.

I also like the motto on the DC tags: "taxation without representation."

I think in honor of PA's do-nothing governor and legislators, we should have a commemorative PA license plate with a sheep on it, with the words "We the Sheeple," in honor of the mindless morons of this state that keep voting for these clowns.

Yep, like those. The low number is a status symbol.
