7 springs really isn't that far from DC. The only really nice resort areas I know of are the 7 springs/Nemacolin area in western PA and the Poconos in the northeast, which would probably be a longer drive for you. Maybe you could check out Bedford, Lancaster, or Gettysburg? There are some nice lakes around there, but nothing like 7 springs, nemacolin, ohiopyle, fallingwater, etc.
