Craft Shows, Fairs, Festivals in Southeastern/South Central PA???
Just wondering if some of you could please update me on the above...I lived in Mechanicsburg for 11 years (1990-2001). While living there I used to make candles and do some other craft work. My "job" other than Mom to 4 kids was making and selling items at craft shows.
Most of the shows I did were in within an hour's drive, two hours at most, from Mechanicsburg. I had no problem finding some type of craft show event to do every weekend for the entire year except for mid-December thru mid-February. The new working year for me always started back up with the WARM103 shows at the York fairgrounds.
Anyway, I haven't much cared for Florida in the 9 years that we have been down here and we are seriously thinking of moving back up that way.
I would love to know if there are still lots of craft events to be found in the area.
Thanks for any insight.

Leesport Auction does craft fairs from time to time as does Renningers in Kutztown. You could probably get a table outside. Leesport always has flea market vendors every Wednesday and gets alot of people.
Kutztown has the big Folk Festival but its very tough to near impossible to get in. Lancaster must have alot of craft shows too.

Thank you...When my kids were small we used to take them up to the amusement park there. We always enjoyed it. I did not know they had a covered bridge festival though. I am a lover of the old covered bridges. I miss seeing them terribly.

Your welcome. The Covered Bridge Festival is usually the first full weekend in October. Tours of the Columbia County bridges origainate from the park. I haven't missed one of thier festivals in years.

I actually used to do the Lititz one at the park every year. Never did the Mt. Gretna one as an exhibitor--but we went to it every year as shoppers. I also used to do a lot of Lititz/Lancaster area ones in the fall and up to Christmas.
Luv the Apple Harvest Festival down by Biglerville--Anybody know if they still have that one? Also, always liked the Apple Harvest Festival in New Cumberland....

There is a place in Lewisburg, PA. It is called the Street of Shops. You pay a small rental fee, and you have your own store. It is open seven days a week. It might be worth looking into. Google them, they have a website. Good Luck.

Thanks so much for that info. I will be heading up to PA in a couple of weeks to look around again.
