Question Need advice relocating to West Chester area

I'm relocating from Hampton NJ to the West Chester PA area to start a new job. The job is out by the Brandywine Airport. I'm an avid cyclist (mostly road, some mountain) so I'm looking for a good area to buy a house that's relatively rural (or close to it) yet still reasonable for commuting. No family so school stuff isn't a critical factor. Any suggestions?

stay outside of the main part of west chester, to much traffic. the rest of the area in and around west chester is great very rural. all depends upon your price point. but chadds ford is really nice and open, but pricey. downingtown is nice also and more reasonably priced.

You probably know this, but the farther west you go, the more rural it gets. For a fun weekend trip you might want to head up to the Lehigh Valley and visit the Velodrome: http://www.lvvelo.org/

If 30 minutes is reasonable for a commute, Honeybrook may be worth a look. I haven't lived in the area for a few years so can't tell you how long it takes to get to WC now or what the area looks like now, but was relatively rural at the time. Parkesburg (pre-SuperWal-Mart) was pretty rural and about 30 minutes or so away. But like I said my information is from several years ago.
