Default Moving to Coudersport

Where would I find home rentals in this town or Potter county?
There is the craigslist but I'm not exactly sure which parts of Pennsylvania
are considered Potter county. And how is the quality of living? Thanks

You could buy a newspaper - The Potter-Leader Enterprise: Serving Coudersport, Pennsylvania - they don't seem to have much for classifieds on the Web, I think the information superhighway is a sore subject in "God's Country" since Adelphia went bust.

In much of rural PA Craig is the guy down the road who lists to the right when he's been drinking.

You might try some real estate firms up there. Rocking Horse in Smethport and Howard Hanna, who covers a whole bunch of the area. They both have web sites.

To answer these two specific questions:
1. Look at the Williamsport and Erie PA Craigslists. Coudersport is maybe halfway between these two cities. For NY, look at the Chautauqua and Buffalo listings.

2. In my opinion, the quality of life is excellent, ... provided that is what you want, a small town (more like a bigger village) in the mountains with a slower pace of life. Whenever I pass through there, I'm envious of everyone I see, hear or talk to, who chose to live their lives there. I wish I could do it.

This blog is pretty good and covers a lot of the news in Potter County and Coudersport.

Solomon's words for the wise

The closing of Adelphia communication's corporate headquarters was a financial blow to the town from which it hasn't recovered.

Coudersport area is beautiful, a great place to raise a family. Unfortunately not much money to be made. I wish I was still living there!!
