Smile need advice on schools/towns in lancaster county

My husband and I are thinking of relocating to Lancaster county from CT. We have 4 children 3 boys and 1 girl....ages 12,10,9,5. Kids are very active in sport. We are a big BB family. We live in the best school systems in our area and need to find the same in PA. We have been researching Elizabethtown and the schools seem to be good schools. I would like to get any feed back possible on the town and the schools. I have read some other posts that people have left about some of the towns or schools being snoody and we would like to steer clear of that. Ct is a very snoody state and we are hoping to get away from that. We are looking for great schools, small town feel but would like to still be 15 to 20 min. away from stores and shops. Any advice or comments will be greatly appreciated.

Manhiem Township School District and Hempfield School Districts are among the best in Lancaster County. I have raised children in both districts and don't really see the the snoody-ness being a problem. If you plan to be actively involved at your children's school(s) , you will meet lots of other parents (some with lots of money and others who arent so fortunate). The point is that we all got along great as did our children. Of the two, I would say Hempfield is the least snoody. Sports oportunities are abundant at both schools. good luck and hope this helps.

Best school districts in Lancaster are Hempfield and Manheim Township (do not confuse with Manheim Central). Both progressive. Warwick has had some issues at the high school level, but it too is an overall good school district.
