Default Moving to the Canonsburg Area from Denver CO

I have tried to follow the thread that the previous person moving from California sent regarding relocation. Many of the answers were very helpful. I have a few more and would be very thankful for your responses.
1. My company would be based in Canonsburg, If I chose NOT to live there, where would be another area that would be similar and perhaps less expensive.
2. What is the average utility bills?
3. What is the average cost of a single-family home.
4. If I live in Pittsburg, is there a suburb outside the inner city that would be close enough to Canonsburg to commute from?

Thank you for your responses.

You'd probably want to get this re-posted or moved to the Pittsburgh forum, the Canonsburg area of Washington County is pretty much mid- to outer-ring suburbs anymore.

Are you looking for good public schools, or funky urban vibe, or something else? Row house, or farmette?

Be aware PA is very different from many other states - you can turn the corner and go from mansion to squalor, or vice versa, on a sub-zip code level. Also schools and municipal services vary widely by what township you're in, a township isn't just a red square on the map, but essentially its own independent city.

Not to ignore your questions - it's just that the area has so much variability that it's not always easy to generalize answers without some more specifics on the housing types you're targeting.

Also watch out for sewage, landslides, and mine drainage/subsidence issues.
