Default Montgomery County

Is it a good idea to buy a house in this county or not ? Can be a good investment for the future ?
I need some advice.
If yes, where ? Are Wynnewood or Marion Station safe for a single woman ?
How about transportation to Philly or New York ?
Thank you very much.

Montgomery County is a great area to buy in right now, just like most of the Philly suburb counties (Bucks, Delaware, Chester). I have rented in Bala Cynwyd for some time now (Lower Merion Township) and it is a very nice area if you can afford it. My fiance and I are moving to Phoenixville (Chester County) simply to buy a home of our own for a reasonable price, but depending on where you are commuting to there are so many outstanding communities to consider in the surrounding Philadelphia area.

The crime rate in most of the 'burbs is very low so I wouldn't worry too much about feeling safe when looking around here. The townships of Lower Merion, Haverford, Radnor, Treddyfrin, Easttown and part of Upper Merion are all very safe and have easy access to SEPTA transportation into Philly and Amtrak to NYC. Some locals I know commute to NYC from Ardmore on a daily basis via Amtrak. Surprisingly their commutes are shorter than some friends I know living on Long Island and working in NYC.
