I might go to college there and I was just wondering if I can get an idea of what Abington is like. Is it close to Philly? how's the area?

It's a very nice area. It's also a close-in suburb to Philadelphia, and you'll probably get a better response asking this in the Philadelphia forum, http://www.city-data.com/forum/philadelphia/
