Default Looking for a home in or around Milroy, PA

We are looking for a home 200,000 to 300,000 in or around Milroy, PA that has at least 2 acres of land and near a small town. We have been searching on line (craigs list and real estate sites)
Do you have any other suggestions? We have to sell our home in Southeastern, PA first. It is on the market, but not many lookers yet.

If your job location is in Milroy, there are some appealing communities for those who favor the rural life with a bit of cultural openess to outsiders in the Penns Valley area schools east of State College (Millheim/Centre Hall and adjacent), however the commute over Seven Mountains Hill on US 322 can be dicey in the winter.

The Kishacoquillas (pronounced "Big") Valley around Milroy and southwest has many small towns, such as Belleville and Milroy itself. However the vibe is predominantly Amish/Mennonite - even if they dress funny they are people too with good and bad, and it's not unknown for these folks to take advantage of their new "English" neighbors.

Hopping over a valley into the Lewistown area, properties such as you seek should be fairly common in the outer reaches of Granville and Derry townships, and further out on 22/522 west/south to the Strodes Mills and McVeytown area, or 522 east/north. The new 22/522 bypass should ease the passage to Milroy from out 22 west.
