Question Kayaking in Somerset County?

Hi there,

We will be visiting Somerset County in early October. Is there anywhere to go kayaking? If so, where is the best place...nothing too treacherous...we have a 12 yr old...

Thanks!

You can also look into the recently completed Stoneycreek Whitewater Park. It's located near Tire Hill, PA in Somerset County, but is only about 2 mi south of Johnstown. Here's some links with info:

There's also Ohiopyle, which isn't too far from Somerset
