hello,

can someone help me find a nice cheap place in pa to raise kids.i am looking for some nice outdoor settings(nice views,fishing,hiking and so on). also would like it cheaper then jersey and more laid back.and not to far from stores and shopping if possible.

can anyone point me to some nice areas

You realize that if an area is "cheap" the jobs may also be scarce/low paying?

Pike County & Wayne County are both lovely places to raise kids if you can make a living here - not too many high paying jobs / full time available.

The central Susquehanna Valley also fits the bill. Counties to look into are Union, Snyder, Montour, and Columbia.

If you can find work, the areas around Erie would be great. Low cost of living, lower than average crime, great outdoors.
