I'm new to Waynesboro and I have a 14 year-old dog who would love some extra exercise. I have yet to stumbled upon a dog park or an open area where she could run. She is very well behaved on and off a leash, very docile, and I'm (of course!) very diligent about cleaning up after her. I'd love to get her outside with a frisbee. Anywhere I can take her?

The only one I can think of is in Shippensburg. I think it's called Bubba's Happy Trails Dog Park.

here's some info i found from another forum:
Antietam Humane Society in Waynesboro has a fenced in play area. I don't think it is used much by the public. You might want to call and ask about it.

Here's a link to that post, its about dog parks in that area, though closer to chambersburg/ship: The Public Opinion Soapbox :: View topic - I wish there was a Dog Park in Chambersburg!

Unfortunately, dog parks aren't valued around here. Even the municipal park does not allow dogs. Guess we aren't getting a dog park with fountains and man-made water features or small lakes anytime soon. I love Chambersburg, but certain things really aren't on par with other parts of the country. Of course, I did go to a dog park in FL that was just a fenced area inside of a regular park with a doggie drinking foutain. I was a bit disappointed

Thought I would add pics of probably the best dog park I've ever been to:

If you are looking for in the woods dirt trails there's plenty northeast of Waynesboro/east of Chambersburg in Michaux State Forest - including the Appalachian Trail Explore the Trail: Pennsylvania - Appalachian Trail Conservancy (http://www.appalachiantrail.org/site/c.mqLTIYOwGlF/b.4805437/k.3796/Explore_the_Trail_Pennsylvania.htm - broken link) - but would need good aim with the disc I guess.
