Any Colleges/Universities near Potter County
I'll be moving to Potter county and prefer to stay in a city where it is populated. I tried looking it up on the internet and couldn't really seem to get much info on it. If anyone know please chime in. And are there any colleges in the Potter county area?

Mansfield University in Mansfield is about an hour away. There really isn't anything up in that neck of the woods, Potter County is way out in the boondocks. There may be something closer north of the border in New York State

I don't think there even is a city in Potter County. Coudersport is the largest town, and even that is tiny. Potter County is way out in the boonies very far away from even a small city. I lived in Coudersport for about a year with my aunt when I was a teenager years ago. Back then it was really rural, boondocks, mountain man, hunting/fishing heaven. My cousin's that I moved in with have never even been to a McDonald's! That is how far out there it is. It is probably about a two hour drive to the nearest small city. I don't believe it has changed very much since then.

There's a McDonald's in Coudersport. In Potter County there are trees, and deer, and trees, and bears, and trees, and squirrels, and trees, and turkeys, and trees, and grouse, and trees. Did I mention there's a lot of trees?

I think Coudersport should do it then. As long as it has a McDonalds LOL.
Would Coudersport be considered more populated? I have to be where there are some people. And how far are the homes from each other. I want to be able to run to neighbors in case in emergency comes up. I am a single mom and it would be scary to be far from others.

Coudersport, Pennsylvania - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In town the houses are pretty much on standard 50 X 150 lots. Outside of town is a different story.

Wow, progress! When I lived there about 15 years ago there was no McDonald's. The Sheetz Market was about it for fast food. There also was a small hamburger place called "The Buck Board". I'm not sure not having a McDonald's in town is a bad thing at all, it's actually a good thing. Yeah, Coudersport is a small town, with a small main street with several buisnesses along Rt. 6. They used to have a "Maple Festival" with everything maple, maple candy, a maple queen, maple syrup, displays. It is pretty neat, especially if you like maple products. It is small town living, a great place to raise kids.
